Introduced in 1964, the Carrera is one of the most iconic vintage Heuer chronographs out there. The example we have here is a reference 1153 with caliber 12 automatic chronograph movement (with hidden microrotor). The caliber 12 is the second generation of the caliber 11, which was one of the first automatic chronograph movements at the time. The Carrera configuration we have here features a second generation tonneau-form case, silvered dial, gray sub-dials and tachymeter, and a bright orange chronograph hand.

This watch is in exceptional condition with almost no scuffs or scratches on the case. The dial is in very good condition with a very nice patination throughout. The tritium lume plots show some signs of aging and some are bruised slightly. The chronograph function is in working order and the buttons are still crisp. The one thing to note is that the top chronograph pusher has a noticeable dent. Overall, this is an incredible example of an iconic model.
